Developing Kabaddi Scotland
Kabaddi Scotland is a Scottish Charity.
Kabaddi Scotland in 2019 organised the 2019 European Kabaddi Championship in Glasgow. Our long-term goal is to promote the sport of Kabaddi across Scotland and use it to bring communities together.
Kabaddi Scotland also works with Scottish Governing bodies and are associate members of the Scottish Sports Association. We endeavour to play a role in trying to influence and lobby the government organisation on better and equitable policies that represent the sports needs of all diverse communities in Scotland.
Kabaddi Scotland has also organised and participated in events and conference that look to tackle equality diversity and inclusion challenges Ex Race and racism in Sport Conference 2024.
Kabaddi Scotland believes sport is a tool that can deliver innovative and far-reaching wellbeing and social development initiatives – as a way of improving healthy lifestyles, tackling isolation and loneliness, addressing racism and other antisocial behaviours, connecting communities and families, and sustaining relationships. Apart from organising sporting activities to create opportunities for diverse communities to express their interest in different sports, we also use the platforms to increase the visibility of diverse communities in Scotland.
